Research Impact
My research has been covered in major media outlets including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, the Economist, CNN, BBC, Financial Times, Bloomberg, and NPR; and cited in several policy reports including the White House CEA economic report, reports by the US Senate and the US House of Representatives and a speech by the chair of the Federal reserve. I have also been invited to present my research at the European Commission (keynote presentation), OECD (keynote presentation), IMF, US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), Bank of England, and Bank Indonesia.
In 2023, I was appointed to the Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee (FESAC). This committee advises the Directors of the Department of Commerce's statistical agencies, the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the U.S. Census Bureau, and the Commissioner of the Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics on statistical methodology and other technical matters related to the collection, tabulation, and analysis of federal economic statistics.
Three of my papers have an Altmetric score in the top 5% of all research papers.
