Avinash (Avi) Collis
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information, Risk and Operations Management at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. I am also a digital fellow at the Stanford University Digital Economy Lab and the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy.
I hold a Ph.D. in Information Technology from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I do research on the Economics of Digitization and teach courses related to Technology Strategy. My research has been covered in major media outlets and policy reports worldwide, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, the Economist, CNN, BBC, Financial Times, Bloomberg, and NPR, and reports by the US White House, Federal Reserve, Senate, and UK treasury. I have also been invited to present my research at the OECD, European Commission, IMF, US BEA, Bank of England, and Bank Indonesia.
